Originally from the small town of Hurt, Virginia, Jalil moved to New York to attend NYU and pursue a career in the fashion industry. Since arriving in New York, he has worked in styling and spent time working for a multi-brand luxury retailer. In 2023, he started his newsletter, "Consider Yourself Cultured," a bi-weekly publication focusing heavily on fashion, style, and cultural aspects of living a well-informed life.
Jalil is featured in esteemed publications like Harper's Bazaar, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, and Vogue, which named him one of the "New Faces of Street Style."
