Megan’s Guide to Beaver Creek

In our latest installment of Travel: At Present, our Art Director, Megan, takes us on her ski vacation to Beaver Creek. From hitting the slopes to après fun, keep reading to learn about Megan’s favorite spots–and the jewelry she’s packing for her snowy long weekend away.

I’ve been skiing at Beaver Creek since 2005 (I’ve only missed two seasons ever!) It will always hold such a special place in my heart. From its expansive views to incredible skiing and mountainside dining, you can’t go wrong visiting this gorgeous, family-friendly resort–there really is something for everyone.

Stay:Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa

Located in the heart of Beaver Creek Village, the Park Hyatt sits at the base of the main mountain, making it super convenient to restaurants, bars, shops–and the Beaver Creek ice skating rink. Check your skis at the end of the day and sit by the outdoor fire pit with a cocktail in hand; It doesn’t get much better than this.

The geometric, diamond burst on these Meredith Young earrings remind me of a snowflake, making them a perfect on-theme staple for a ski-getaway.

Eat: Beano’s Cabin

An incredibly special dining experience, this luxe mountainside cabin at Beaver Creek Resort with antler chandeliers & rustic Colorado cuisine is something you will never forget. The only way to get to Beano’s Cabin in the winter is by a 20-minute open air sleigh ride pulled by a snow cat–which is pretty epic, in and of itself.

I love how Objet-a’s Disco Pearl Earrings elevate a cozy sweater for wintry evenings.

Eat (More Casual): Dusty Boot Roadhouse

Dusty Boot is the polar opposite of Beano’s Cabin, but also a total must-see. Located in Beaver Creek Village, the food ranges from quick aprés snacks to full savory meals.

With its silk twine and chunky sterling silver, Annika Inez’s Heart Necklace feels totally at home Out West.

Lunch or a Drink: Bachelor’s Gulch

Removed slightly from the main village of Beaver Creek, Bachelor’s Gulch is a great spot to check out after a few runs at Bachelor’s Gulch. At the base, you’ll find a casual-yet-elevated outdoor dining experience on the mountain-side terrace at Daniel’s Grill + Fireside Bar. You can’t go wrong with a hot chocolate–or even a margarita. Looking for some real estate window shopping? Check out the trails that wind their way across the mountain past some of Beaver Creek’s most desirable on-mountain real estate.

A sparkly ear stack is a snowy must. EF Collection has the perfect, everyday diamond earrings, like these Multi Huggie earrings.

Views: Mamie’s Mountain Grill

Mamie’s Mountain Grill sits at the top of Bachelor’s Gulch Express Lift overlooking McCoy Park, the resort’s newest learning area. The views from the outdoor seating area are amazing. Don’t forget to snap a quick photo.

Bleecker & Prince’s Grey Mini Sky Bubble Ring is almost as jaw-dropping as the view of the real sky from the chair lift.
