Summer Travel : At Present

Emma’s Guide to the East End

After a year at home in sweat sets, jetsetting and jewelry are just what the doctor ordered. Welcome to Summer Travel: At Present, featuring the places our team can’t wait to visit this summer–and the jewelry we’re bringing along for the ride. Whether we’re headed out East for a few months, venturing to Palm Beach for a long weekend, or staycationing in Seattle, our team can’t wait to take you on our summer adventures–and show you what baubles we’re packing At Present.

Emma’s Guide to the East End

First up, meet Emma, our Long Island native who recently relocated back to her hometown of East Hampton–just in time for summer. When she’s not running content for us, you can find her teaching backyard yoga or hanging at the beach. Here are her insider tips to doing the Hamptons the local way–and the jewelry she’s pairing with them.

First Stop: Round Swamp Farm

Whether this is your first time out here (welcome!) or your twentieth (welcome back!), chances are you’ve just braved the traffic on the LIE or the masses on the LIRR 😬. I know you want to run straight into the ocean, but first things first–provisions! Stock up on fresh produce like tomatoes for caprese pasta, mint for fresh iced tea, and berries to snack on straight from the carton. And don’t sleep on prepared foods like gazpacho, seven layer dip and homemade chips–saltwater and sunshine make you hungry.

My go-to summer jewelry is all about easy gold pieces that take me from farmstand runs to beach walks with friends. Campbell + Charlotte’s gold stacking rings elevate my summer uniform of cutoffs and a white tee in an easy, breezy way.

Sweat It Out: Yoga Shanti

I’m so excited that my favorite yoga studio, Yoga Shanti, is finally back open! My mom first took me to the Sag Harbor studio in high school, and now I teach a virtual class for them on Instagram. My favorite teachers are Colleen and Rodney; they’re also teaching in the park this summer, so you can soak up the sun while you flow.

I love wearing jewelry that reflects my yoga practice, from a diamond Om pendant my mother gifted me when I graduated from Yoga Teacher Training, to more subtle astrological and spiritual charms. This Blue Moon pendant is perfect for a full moon practice, while this Mini Compass Medallion Charm can help you find your true north. I currently have my eye on this Jennifer DeMoro Solara Pendant, which embodies my signature Sunshine Flow class.

Lunch at Lunch

I love driving out to Montauk, and always stop to grab a (gluten free!) lobster roll along the way. Just off of the highway, Lunch, aka The Lobster Roll, has been around since the 1950s, and is the essence of low-key beach vibes that Montauk was always known for. The hotspots you’ve seen on Instagram are fun too, but if authentic is what you’re after, this is the place.

This Ombré Azur Sapphire necklace is at once effortless and chic, which feels perfectly Montauk. I’d layer it with other necklacesby the designer; the haphazard mix of blues reminds me of the ocean.

Light it Up: Beach Bonfires

My favorite summer activity has always been bonfires on the beach. Pick up some local rosé from Wolffer Vineyards and of course, s’mores fixings, and head down to any beach on the East End. One of the most special parts of this area is the fact that we’re completely surrounded by water–the Atlantic Ocean on the south shore, and the Long Island Sound on the north. Try the bayside Long Beach for an epic sunset, or Sagg Main for a moonrise over the ocean. Just don’t forget to bring a container for your fire and have a bucket of water handy for when you want to put it out.

If you know me, you know I love layering gold necklaces, even at the beach. This Gold Seashell Escape Set is at the top of my wishlist, while this Kimberley Doyle Marquise Opal Light Necklace reminds me of the way the moonlight dances on the water.

How Sweet It Is: Candy Kitchen

With swivel stools and (the best) turkey club sandwiches, The Candy Kitchen is a truly iconic spot for diner food and ice cream. Get the fresh peach ice cream, which is only available in the summer. Two scoops? Make it three, even if you’re driving 😉.

Laid-back, candy-colored baubles like these Jennifer DeMoro Sundown Bar Earrings or Noor Shamma Infinity Rainbow Moonstone Bracelet pair perfectly with rainbow sprinkles.

New Kid on the Block: La Fin

After a year of cooking and takeout, it’s so nice to eat at restaurants again! I’m excited to try La Fin, a much-talked about French farm-to-table eatery right on the docks.

While laid-back-beachy is the name of the game out here, I love an excuse to swap my swimsuit for a sundress. Adding a few statement pieces like this Pamela Zamore Ray Ring or Labulgara Magic Wand Needle Earring that match with my everyday jewelry makes packing for a trip easy and efficient.
